The writer of a new book on the life of author Edith Nesbit will be at Eltham Library on Saturday 29 September.
Elisabeth Galvin’s book The Extraordinary Life of E Nesbit re-tells the story of an amazing woman who wrote The Railway Children and a host of other famous books during her 22 years living at Well Hall.
Marion Kennett, of the E Nesbit Society, said: “It reads like a modern-day soap opera and throws more light on her life and work. This is an opportunity to meet her biographer and find out more about this extraordinary woman who found inspiration for her books among the surroundings where she lived.”
Elisabeth will be at Eltham Library from 11.30am–2.30pm and will have copies of the book available for signing.
The Extraordinary Life of E Nesbit was published by Pen and Sword on 30 August.
