The December 2024 SEnine magazine, issue 217, is out this weekend, celebrating 18 years of your favourite community magazine. As always, there are lots of news stories , features, interviews, events, gossip and rumours.

The stunning cover shot of a Kingfisher is taken by Ricky Hough, a local wildlife photographer who is interviewed by Editor, John Webb on pages 16 & 17.

Other interviews this month are with the light designer of Ivor Grove who entertains hundreds every year with his ‘spooktacular’ Hallowe’en displays, and the first ever female member of the Triple Crown Challenge club – find out more on pages 14 & 15.

Other features look at the new Avery Hill Tree Trail; local energy initiatives and this year’s very successful Elthamread events.

As always, there is plenty to find out about in SPY – and SEnine Out is great for ideas on what to do in and around SE9!
