October’s SEnine is out now…
October’s SEnine, issue 227, is available now, both in print form, and online, here on the website.
From looking at the cover of the new October edition of SEnine Magazine, you might think there have been some very strange goings-on in Avery Hill Park. But, don’t worry, it is just our first AI-assisted cover, looking forward to the spooky seasons of Halloween and Bonfire Night! The beautiful main photo is by Joe Walsh, with AI (Artificial Intelligence) additions by www.triptych-design.co.uk. (No, you can’t have a bonfire in the park – only an AI one!)
Look out on our socials in the next few days for a competition to win a copy of this year’s Elthamread book (The Memory Library by Kate Storey) which will require you to examine the AI cover very closely.
The Elthamread – the 10th since its inception – is previewed on P14 by its originator, local author Wendy Moore.
Other news features have John Webb look into the trending ‘Smartphone-free Childhood’ movement, and the rebirth of Men in Sheds as ‘Eltham Sheds’, now based in Shooters Hill.
As always, there is plenty to find out about in SPY – and a refreshed SEnine Out is great for ideas on what to do in and around SE9, with even more local events listed!
